YELLOW
This drone image was taken at sunset, over the Slat Flats in Menlo Park. It is part of a larger abstract series of arial images taken of the Bay Area Salt Flats over the last 2 years.
I was especially drawn to the texture, colors, and flow. I am inspired by the mystery of the image-- it isn't immediately clear to the viewer if the image is a macro taken up close or from very far.
My inspiration in this image is the summer sunset, and I like how the image could also be a representation of snow capped mountains, and a yellow sky. I feel a nice sense of calm when I look at the image, and the curved shapes, and I hope the viewer does as well.

Photo by Mira Zaslove - Fantastic Voyage - Bordeaux, France, 2018. "Fantastic Voyage" was created during a warm Summer's sunset at the Place de La Bourse in Southern France. It shows a young boy riding his scooter in the palace's reflecting pool. It was taken with a wide angle lens to show the expanse of the 18th century palace and taken with a fast shutter speed to freeze the moment and capture the splashes of water. It is an image of symbols and moments: old and new. It evokes the vibrance and energy of youth at the forefront juxtaposed along side the classical French architectural art of the 18th century in the background.

Photo by Mira Zaslove - What's Inside - Hong Kong, 2017. "What's Inside" was created from the top floor of the Yaumatei Carpark at Temple market. The image reveals densely packed apartments, offering a glimpse into living in one of the most populated cities of the world. The image asks the viewer to peer into crammed and cube-like apartments, showing protruding air conditioning units, draped laundry, plants, posters, and the people living behind the windows.
